I am OBSESSED with personalizing everything! I have always been a huge monogram fan and just love getting to put my name or initials on anything I own!
I started my business to focus on custom decals and it has grown into the best little hobby for me.
On Amazon Prime day, I saw they had my pink decal machine ON SALE. Oh boy this is definitely God telling me to purchase it, right? ;)
So I got my machine and I started right away learning and making decals. I was almost 2 months into my marriage so I was of course in love with my new last name and new monogram! I made tons of stickers and put them on all of my notebooks, mugs, tumblers, my laptop, phone and my iPad. Seriously, I love me some cutie decals.
I opened my Etsy shop but didn't expect anything big to happen. Well surprise surprise! A lady messaged me and wanted decals for her kid's birthday party and wondered if I could help. HECK YA I WILL HELP YOU! I was so pumped. I got started on her order and about 12 mistakes later, I finally got her decals in the mail.
My husband had been out of town for a while for work, so I was bored and had plenty of time to create my Etsy shop and learn all the things. I shockingly kept getting more sales! I had ZERO reviews and my shop was far below average ...I was so new at this! This is absolutely how I know God is present in my life. I mean Etsy is allllll about reviews so WHY would people buy from a random shop with no reviews? IDK man. IDK.
Fast forward a few days and my husband comes home to tell me he wants a divorce. Absolutely crushed. I mean gosh I literally was so broken. I spent the entire day crying my eyes out and wondering what in the world I was supposed to do. I moved to Houston for him, so allllll of my family and friends were literally 6 hours away. Awesome.
In between the phone calls and texts of my close friends and mentors checking in on me and praying for me over the phone, I was doing Etsy orders! I didn't have many hobbies other than hanging out with my best friend husband and my cutie little dog. I am so thankful for my business and for my dog!
Frankie has been the sweetest companion I could have asked for. I never had a dog growing up, and I was actually terrified of dogs when I was a kid. Frank is a little over 2 years old and daily I thank God for him.
I have been driving the 6 hour road trip to go home for various things, and having Frank along for the ride makes it super fun. My friends consider Frank their nephew and it is just crazy how special my little pup is to me!
I share this blog to explain things I am thankful for during this season of my life. Just because bad things happen, you can still choose to see the blessings that God is putting in your life.
